SMC Global Ready Supports the 10th SICC Awards, Celebrating Collaboration and Global-Ready
Singapore, 28 August 2026 — SMC Global Ready was pleased to support the 10th Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) Awards Ceremony & Gala at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, joining leaders from business, government, academia and the wider community in celebrating a decade of collaboration and impact.
The milestone event was graced by Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry (Trade), as Guest-of-Honour.Since 1837, SICC has brought together local and international businesses with a shared interest in Singapore’s success as an open, connected and trusted global business hub. This year’s 10th SICC Awards continued that tradition by recognising the power of collaboration across businesses, industries, academia, government and borders.
As a sponsor, SMC Global Ready was proud to support an occasion that closely reflects its own belief in the power of connection, collaboration and contribution across generations.

SMC also extends this exchange of knowledge through its Global Ready book series. Building on the first book published in 2025, SMC is preparing the second book, Global Ready or Not, featuring 10 authors across business, academia, technology, entrepreneurship and social impact, bringing diverse perspectives on what it means to navigate, lead and thrive across cultures in a rapidly changing world.
Together, these initiatives reflect SMC’s commitment to connecting generations, sharing wisdom and developing Global-Ready leaders. As SICC Chairman Mr Wong Joo Seng highlighted during the evening, innovation rarely happens in isolation; it happens when businesses large and small, local and international, and partners across industry, academia and government come together. This philosophy strongly resonates with SMC’s mission.
Through Serve · Mentor · Connect, SMC brings together experienced leaders, professionals and young people to build an international and intergenerational leadership ecosystem — creating opportunities for knowledge, experience and networks to move across organisational, cultural and generational boundaries.
SMC Global Ready congratulates SICC on the 10th anniversary of the SICC Awards and looks forward to continuing to build partnerships that turn connections into meaningful impact.
